At Ability Shop, we strive to provide quality products while supporting artisans with disabilities. Each item is carefully crafted by individuals from various special needs centers, and we are committed to customer satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the terms for refunds, exchanges, and returns, including eligibility and the process for requesting a refund.

1. Eligibility for Returns and Refunds

Due to the unique nature of our products, the following items are generally non-refundable:

• Custom or Personalized Items: Any item made-to-order or personalized for the customer.
• Used or Damaged Products: Products that show signs of use, wear, or damage not caused by shipping.

However, refunds may be considered under certain conditions:

• Damaged or Defective Items: If an item arrives damaged or defective, please notify us within 7 days of delivery for a possible refund or replacement.
• Incorrect Orders: If you receive the wrong item, we will arrange for the correct item to be sent or offer a refund.

Note: Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, minor variations may occur and are not considered defects.

2. Return Process

If your item qualifies for a return or refund, please follow these steps:

• Partial Refunds: In cases where only part of an order is eligible for a refund, we will refund the portion related to the eligible item(s).
• Shipping Fees: Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to a damaged or incorrect item.

4. Exchanges

Exchanges may be offered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to item availability. For handmade items, exact replacements may not be possible. Please contact us to discuss available options if you wish to exchange an item.

To maintain our commitment to quality and support for special needs centers, we do not accept returns or exchanges for:

• Custom or personalized items
• Items marked as final sale
• Digital products or downloads, if applicable

6. Gifts and Donations

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, we may issue a store credit instead of a refund. For donation-based purchases where proceeds directly support a special needs center, refunds are not typically available.
